Course Objectives: The course aims to help participants deepen their understanding of Montessori principles and strengthen their effectiveness in working with children in alignment with those principles. By engaging with the basics of Montessori education, participants gain valuable insights and practical techniques that align with the Montessori approach. School administrators and board members will have additional content specific to their work in school leadership.
In-Residence Experience: The in-residence component offers participants the opportunity to observe in Lab School classrooms and engage in hands-on activities with Montessori materials, allowing for a practical and immersive learning experience.
Course Information
The course will include 44 hours of live sessions.
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to all students who fully attend the live sessions. The Certificate of Completion is equivalent to 44 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) on the topic of Montessori education. This certificate is often recognized when working as an administrative staff in a Montessori school.
For those participants working in Illinois, Seton Montessori Institute is also recognized as a Gateways Registry Authorized Entity that delivers professional development to those serving young children. The Registration Deadline is Monday, July 25, 2026. Enrollment is based on availability.
If a cancellation is received on or before July 25, 2026, a refund of $500 will be given. Withdrawals received after July 25, 2026, will receive a refund of 50% of the course cost, less the registration fee. There will be no refunds for withdrawal requests received after the start of the first class on August 3, 2026. Seton Montessori Institute is not responsible for other financial obligations incurred by participants.
