Description: Lucila’s Home Daycare is now hiring a TEACHER to join our Early Childhood Spanish Immersive program in Chicago, IL!

About Lucila’s Home Daycare:

Lucila’s Home Daycare is in Chicago, Illinois. We offer year-round Spanish Immersion programming for Infants and Toddlers. Located in a residential setting, Lucila’s Home Daycare offer children and parents a warm neighborhood and an environment for learning and growing.

Our experienced and dedicated staff helps children develop an awareness of themselves and the world around them. The child works and learns in an atmosphere of balanced independence and structure within a mixed-age group setting.

Lucila’s Home Daycare is licensed under DCFS’s regulations, accredited by the NAFCC and has provided care for Children in the Chicago area since 2011.

Lucila’s Home Daycare is looking forward to expand its horizons and transition into a Montessori Daycare Center.

Responsibilities:

• Working in the designated classroom with Infants and Toddlers, accompanied by an assistant.
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all the children.
• Interacting positively in a friendly, calm, and nurturing manner with the children.
• Encouraging and modeling social behavior and expectations appropriate to the age group.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the classroom environment.
• Evaluate each child’s progress.
• Attending staff meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Fluent Spanish and English.
• Strong desire to work with Infant and Toddlers.
• Commitment to instructing about Montessori philosophy.
• Commitment to continued professional development.
• Ability to collaborate with a dynamic team.
• Physical dexterity and ability to lift children up to 40 pounds.
• Completion and maintenance of DCFS requirements.
• AMI or AMS accreditation on Infant and Toddler education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience working with Infants and Toddlers under a AMI or AMS accreditation.
