Montessori Academy of Morton Grove is seeking a warm, dependable, and enthusiastic Montessori teacher to join our Primary classroom team.
This position is currently needed from September 1 through November 1, with a strong possibility of continued or long-term employment based on school needs, mutual fit, and availability. Ideally, the selected candidate will also be available to attend our Professional Development Week, August 24–27, to meet the team, become familiar with our school, and prepare for the start of the school year.
We are especially interested in candidates with Montessori classroom experience or Montessori training. This could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Montessori educator, as well as a newer Montessori teacher, current Montessori intern, or recent graduate looking to gain meaningful classroom experience and continue growing within a supportive Montessori environment.

Montessori Academy of Morton Grove is a year-round Montessori school serving children from infancy through age six. We are a small, close-knit school community where teachers work collaboratively, new ideas are welcomed, and staff are supported as they continue to grow as educators.

Position Responsibilities
The Montessori Primary Teacher will work collaboratively with the classroom team to:
Support and maintain a peaceful, organized, and engaging Montessori environment
Present and support developmentally appropriate Montessori works and activities
Observe children and respond thoughtfully to their individual developmental needs
Support children with a range of personalities, learning styles, and developmental needs
Model Grace and Courtesy and respectful communication
Support classroom routines, transitions, record keeping, and preparation of the environment
Build warm and professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Work collaboratively with school leadership and the classroom team
Qualifications
Montessori training, certification, internship experience, or significant Montessori classroom experience is strongly preferred.
We welcome applications from both experienced Montessori educators and those earlier in their Montessori careers who are eager to continue learning and growing in a supportive school environment.
Candidates must be able to meet the physical requirements of an active early childhood classroom and participate fully in daily classroom and outdoor activities.

Competitive salary based on education, Montessori training, and experience.

Full-time
Monday through Friday
