Job Title: Assistant Teacher
Description: Montessori Children's House of North Barrington is seeking a Teacher Assistant for our community. We are looking to hire an individual who enjoys working with young children in a warm, caring environment.
Our Montessori preschool and toddler classrooms operate year round, and our school is open currently from 8:15 am - 4:15 pm.
We are seeking a candidate for the hours of 8:15 am - 4:15 pm five days per week to serve as an assistant to a Montessori credentialed teacher to start as soon as possible. We also are interested in applicants for a floater/substitute teacher position who would support multiple classrooms as needed in an assistant role. The pay range for these positions is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour based on education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma required
Previous Montessori and/or other related teacher/teacher assistant experience required
College-level course work in Early Childhood education preferred
Commitment to learning about Montessori philosophy and education
Commitment to continued professional development
Ability to collaborate with a dynamic teaching team
Successful background check and fingerprinting are required as conditions for employment. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications within DCFS licensing standards.
