Position Summary
This is a full-time position responsible for creating and maintaining an authentic Montessori learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of each child. We are looking for educators who are warm, collaborative, dependable, and committed to excellence.
Lead Montessori Teacher Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain a beautiful, organized, and authentic Montessori classroom.
Plan and implement the Montessori curriculum based on careful observation of each child's individual needs.
Present Montessori lessons with fidelity to Montessori philosophy and methodology.
Foster independence, concentration, self-discipline, and a lifelong love of learning.
Observe, assess, and document children's progress and development.
Create individualized learning opportunities that support each child's unique developmental journey.
Establish and maintain positive, respectful classroom management practices.
Build strong partnerships with families through ongoing communication, conferences, and parent education.
Mentor and support Assistant Teachers while fostering a collaborative classroom culture.
Maintain Montessori materials and prepare new lessons as children progress.
Ensure compliance with DCFS licensing requirements and all health and safety regulations.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and continuous program improvement.
Serve as a positive role model who reflects the mission and values of Casa Dei Bambini Montessori.
