Job Title: Young Children's Community (Toddler ) Lead Guide
Description: Isthmus Montessori Academy is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Lead Guide for our Young Children’s Community (Toddler) classroom. The Lead Guide is responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment for children ages 18 months to 3 years. This role includes guiding children’s independence, supporting social-emotional development, fostering strong partnerships with families, and collaborating with colleagues to uphold the mission and values of the school.
The ideal candidate holds an AMI A to I Diploma (as we are an AMI recognized school) but others considered, demonstrates a deep respect for young children, and is committed to creating an inclusive, joyful, and authentic Montessori community. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and maintain a beautiful, organized Montessori environment.
* Guide children’s development through observation, individualized support, and Montessori practices.
* Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* Support children’s independence, self-confidence, and social-emotional growth.
* Maintain classroom records and communicate regularly with families.
* Participate in school events, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
* Uphold licensing requirements as required per Department of Children and Families
